The Shrines of French Canada and Southern Ontario


On the first day, depart for an early morning flight to Buffalo, New York. By late afternoon you arrive and transfer to your hotel in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada. Dinner that evening overlooks the mighty Upper Niagara River, and both the American and Horseshoe Falls. The "Thundering Waters" cascading to churning depths, and the rising mist and colorful rainbows will amaze and delight you.

Begin the next day with breakfast before an exciting day of touring. Travel back on the US side of the Falls and go to Buffalo to visit Our Lady of Victory Basilica, which was built at the turn of the century. En-route back to Niagara Falls, you'll have scenic views of the "Upper River" Stops include, the historic, St. Mary's of the Cataract Church, the first church built in Falls. During the War of 1812, the church was converted into a stable by the British and later converted back into a Church. You can have lunch that afternoon at the famous Como Restaurant. After lunch, visit Our Lady of Fatima Shrine Basilica. By late afternoon we cross back into Canada with free time in the Victorian village of Niagara On the Lake. After dinner that night, you can go to the Horseshoe Falls, for the illumination of the Falls.

Bonjour! On the third day, you visit French Canada. Dine that evening with a French flair at a local eatery. After dinner you can visit St. Joseph Oratory.

On day four, your day starts with an exciting city tour of the beautiful Montreal city. Highlights include, Vieux Montreal (old City) Olympic Park, Mont Royal, Mac Gill University, and the downtown area. That afternoon travel to Quebec City, the only walled city in North America, reminiscent of a medieval French country town. Relax over dinner before visiting a "Quebec Experience", an exciting and informative multimedia, multi-sensory attraction.

Early the morning of the fifth day, the tour will travel to St. Anne de Beaupre for the morning celebration, allowing time on site to explore the grounds, or shop in nearby stores. Then depart St. Anne's and stop at Marie's Bread Ovens and sample some delicious maple sugar bread, followed by a stop at Montmorency Falls for a picture stop, of the breathtaking cascade. That afternoon take a city tour of Quebec which highlights, Place Royale, Notre Dames de Victories, the Citadel and the Plains of Abrahamn. Dinner is in one of Quebec's quaint restaurants.

On the morning of the sixth day, after breakfast we say "Au Revior" to your new French Canadian friends and continue upstream along the shores of the St.Lawrence to the Mission of St. Francis Xavier where you can visit the tomb of the Venerable Kateri Tekakwitha. The tour will arrive in Kingston in time for a Guided Tour of this historic town. That evening the tour will participate in a wonderful dinner cruise among the 1,000 Islands where Lake Ontario drains into the mighty St.Lawrence.

Day 7 Niagara Falls, Ontario
The morning of the seventh day of the tour will find you following the Loyalist Parkway along the shoreline of Lake Ontario to the scenic island of Prince Edward County. A stop can be made in the quaint, historic town of Picton allowing time to some time for lunch and browsing the shops in the lakeside summer resort town. Later that afternoon the tour will stop at the Big Apple near Colborne, for some of the best apple pie and coffee this side of Niagara Falls. By late afternoon you travel back to Nigara Falls Ontario for a relaxing dinner. After dinner you will have the opportunity to shop on Clifton Hill.

On the eighth and final day of the tourm, you transfer back to Buffalo for your flight back home. You will have the opportunity of shopping at Duty Free before crossing the border.
